I'm sure vbGuild users have noticed the pace of enhancement updates hasn't been as quick as we'd like. We're not happy with that either. Starting today, Christopher 'Twisted Chaos' Matuszak is joining as a freelance coder from Twisted Effects. He's a long-time member of vbulletin.org and has extensive coding experience.
He'll begin by rewriting the code base for better AJAX, vBulletin style usage, and error handling. Once that's done he'll continue on with all the planned changes for the product. including everything in the project list.
Although some changes might get propagated into the free version, our focus will be on those who've paid $5 for the premium. Thank you for your patience and we hope to reward it soon.
It'll get prettier and more functional as we go. We thought it was more important to get a decent working product out there now and enhance it with feedback from users.
This is an interesting feature, but it seems more for guilds that have been around for a long period of time?
Why would that be true? Most roster plugins don't support multiple games, servers, or even more than one character. Plus they don't allow you to define traits that are important to you; they're just preset for the game the roster is made for.
Question: is it possible to get the vbguild page to default to a given game/server listing? For example, if the guild primarily plays Star Wars Galaxies on the Starsider server (just an example, mind) then the guild might want to default the display to that set up. When people view the vbguild page they automatically see all the characters and details for Star Wars Galaxies->Starsider.
